This Privacy Policy explains how Cheatscan ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our websites, applications, and features (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information: your email address, and, if you sign in with Google, the basic profile details that provider shares with us, such as your name and avatar.
- Investor profile: the answers you give during onboarding and in settings, including experience level, risk questionnaire responses, time horizon, asset preferences, goals, and any amounts you choose to enter.
- Activity you create: your portfolio holdings, watchlist entries, and price alerts. This information is entered by you and stored to provide the Service.
- Technical information: standard logs and device or browser information generated when you use the Service, used for security and reliability.
We do not ask for or store your brokerage credentials, bank details, or private wallet keys. Portfolio holdings are figures you enter yourself for tracking, not a connection to any account.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
- To personalize educational summaries and ideas based on your investor profile.
- To send transactional emails, such as price alert notifications you set up.
- To secure the Service, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to run the Service:
- Cloud hosting and database provider, which stores your account and data on our behalf.
- Email delivery provider, used to send alert and account emails.
- Authentication provider (Google), if you choose to sign in with Google.
- Market data providers (such as CoinGecko, Twelve Data, and Alpha Vantage), which supply the prices and information shown in the Service. We send these providers asset identifiers, not your personal information.
- AI processing provider, used to generate sentiment and analysis features from public market information.
- Legal and safety: when required by law, or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Service.
4. Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can delete your holdings, watchlist entries, and alerts at any time within the app. If you ask us to delete your account, we will remove your personal information except where we must keep it to meet legal obligations.
5. Your Choices and Rights
- Access and update your investor profile in settings at any time.
- Remove individual holdings, watchlist entries, and alerts within the app.
- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA. To exercise any right, contact us at the address below.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including access controls that limit each account to its own data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. International Users
We operate in the United States, and your information may be processed there and in other countries where our providers operate. By using the Service, you understand your information may be transferred to countries with different data protection laws than your own.
9. Cookies and Local Storage
We use cookies and similar local storage to keep you signed in and to operate the Service. These are necessary for core functionality. We do not use them to sell your data.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Policy.
